Check availability and view public registration data (RDAP/WHOIS) for any domain name.
Enter a domain name and click "Lookup Domain" to see its status.
Your privacy is important. Here’s how this tool works:
RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) is the modern successor to WHOIS. Both are protocols used to query databases that store information about registered domain names, such as creation/expiry dates and the registrar.
Due to privacy regulations like GDPR, much of the personal information of domain owners (name, address, email) is now hidden from public WHOIS/RDAP records. This is a standard practice across all registrars to protect owner privacy.
A "Not Found" status strongly suggests the domain is available for registration. However, it could also be a premium domain reserved by the registry or be in a 'redemption' period. Always confirm final availability with a domain registrar like GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Google Domains.
Status codes indicate the state of a domain. Common ones include "active" (OK), "clientTransferProhibited" (locked to prevent unauthorized transfers), and "autoRenewPeriod" (it has recently been renewed). These codes provide insight into the domain's lifecycle.
